Coach Gerard J. Lewis was born and raised in New Orleans La. He relocated and now lives in Humble TX. after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He has been coaching and training athletes for 15 years. Coach Lewis is married to Elecia Lewis and is the father of 5 beautiful children, Ashlee M. Lewis, Kirstyn E. Barnes-Lewis, Gerani E. Lewis, Gerard J. Lewis Jr. and Gavin J. Lewis. **(On a sad note Gavin J. Lewis passed away March 20, 2008 at only 8 months old)**

COACHING - FOOTBALL

Coach Lewis started his football coaching career at Digby Playground part of N.O.R.D.(New Orleans Recreation Department) from 1995-1999 accumulating 54 wins, 8 losses in 5 years. His defenses recorded 42 shutouts and won 3 Lakeshore District Championships and reached back to back City-Wide Championship games, winning the New Orleans City-Wide Championship in the N.O. Superdome with a perfect 12-0 record in 1999. His team recorded 9 shutouts during the season.

Coach Lewis won Lakeshore Coach of the Year award three times.

Also in 1999 he was Defensive Line coach at Edna Karr High School helping guide one of the states best defenses in the state to the Louisiana 3A State Championship game. Lewis was the first coach to reach the City-Wide Championship and High School State Championship game in the same year.

His coaching career continued as Defensive Coordinator at Abramson High School, Reedemer-Seton High School, and was Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator at Phoenix High School before relocating to Humble TX.

Coach Lewis has been coaching in the Humble Area Football League for 3 years reaching the Super Bowl 2 out of 3 years. His Senior Saints averaged 38.9 pts per game and only allowed 9.6 pts per game in route to winning the 2008 HAFL Super Bowl 39-0.

In 2009, Coach Lewis stepped out on faith and started F.A.S.T. CAMP SPORTS - Home of the F.A.S.T. CAMP EAGLES.

Coach Lewis joined TYFA, Texas Youth Football Association for the 2009 season. F.A.S.T. CAMP EAGLES in their inaugural season was blessed with 108 football players and cheerleaders. The Eagles fielded five football teams – Flag 5 & 6 yr olds, Midgets – 6 & 7 yr olds, Rookies – 8 & 9 yr olds, Juniors 10 & 11 yr olds, and Seniors 12 & 13 yr olds.

All five Eagle teams qualified for the playoffs, an outstanding accomplishment for F.A.S.T. CAMP as a first year organization.

Coach Lewis was the head coach of the Rookie team guiding them to the Semi-Finals, one game away from the State Championship game and finishing with a 9-3 record. After starting the season 2-2 the Rookie Eagles went on a 7 game winning streak before losing in the semis.

Coach Lewis also was the head coach of the Senior Eagles and with the help of Coach Campbell and Coach Wheeler guided them to an 11-0 record and won the 2009 TYFA Texas State Championship.

The Senior Eagles finished 11-0 and their offense averaged 40.2 point per game. Their defense gave up an unbelievable 3.8 points a game and recorded 7 shutouts including a dominant 48-0 performance against Austin’s Stone Oak Titans in the State Championship game at Texas A&M Kyle Field in College Station, Texas.
